Made In NC

Made In NC, the Brooklyn Arts & Crafts Fair, was a huge hit on Sunday, April 28, for the 500-plus shoppers who attended and for the fifty top artisans and crafters who set up booths and tables in the church and under the courtyard tent.

Original, handmade, creative treasures like homemade soaps, bubble baths, lotions, and sea salts from Donna Fergfuson’s Soak Away Life’s Troubles (SALT), one-of-a-kind clay sculpture from Christa Sylvester’s Claymation, beautifully beaded necklaces, bracelets, and earrings from Jameka Wrisbon Purdie’s Alter Ego Designs, hand-painted tropical rain barrels from Skip Schlitzkus, and a skateboarding-themed jewelry line in which broken skateboard decks are recycled and repurposed from Dear Life got everyone in Brooklyn excited about the show.

There were edible treats as well, including fresh popcorn in the courtyard and Andrea and Norm Wlodarczyk’s, Lovely Green, which offered organic teas and sweets. Flaming Amy’s Sacred Burrito Bus fed the crowd, and the BAC cash bar offered Bloody Mary and Mimosa specials.

Made In NC will be again before the end of the year. Check our website, brooklynartsnc.com, for updates.
